Our new baby girl made it home Friday January 8th. We had her flown in from Europe, which was a long flight for her, but at 12 weeks, she managed it like a champ.
If you think about importing your new puppy, be sure to check with your customs agency to ensure you are aware of anything you may need in advance such as required immunizations, permits etc.
Regardless of how your new pup comes home, you should receive copies of the following documents prior to homecoming:
*Health clearances for both sire and dam. This includes things such as hips, elbows, heart, cystinuria.
*Heart clear by cardiologist for puppy
*Vaccination schedule and vet check.
We took Evey in to see our vet her first week home and she is doing great.
I have been very busy teaching the basics and lucky for me she is very smart and food motivated which is making my job very easy.
We start show classes together February 8th.
If you are new to showing and show dogs, don't be afraid to step in and give it a try. Search for show classes in your area. Usually offered by local kennel clubs. This gives you an opportunity to train your puppy and yourself long before you ever go near an actual judge.
Puppy grooming and show classes coming soon.
